Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners has purchased Hive Energy’s interest in Cleve Hill Solar Park and will be taking forward the project onto the design and build stage. Quinbrook has international experience in the large format utility solar market and Hive Energy were excited to see an experienced and accomplished company take on such an important project.
Since the project launch in 2017, Cleve Hill Solar Park Ltd. has worked extensively with local and national stakeholders to design a project which is forecast to generate enough renewable power each year to meet the power needs of around 100,000 UK homes and to help reduce carbon emissions by 164,450 tonnes in its first year of operations alone – whilst also delivering a 65% net gain in biodiversity through an extensive landscape and biodiversity management plan, designed in collaboration with Natural England, Kent Wildlife Trust, RSPB, and the Environment Agency.
