Cleve Hill Solar Park Ltd have announced the dates for the second phase of consultation in this ‘pre-application’ stage. They’ve sent letters to some of the local residents with the following details:
Wednesday 13 June from 4.30pm to 7.30pm at Ferry House Inn, Harty Ferry Road, Harty, ME12 4BQ
Thursday 14 June from 1.30pm to 8pm at Graveney Village Hall, Graveney Faversham, ME13 9DN
Friday 15 June from 11am to 4pm at Seasalter Christian Centre, Seasalter, Faversham Road, Whitstable, CT5 4AX
Saturday 16 June from 11am to 5.30pm at Faversham Guildhall, 8 Market Place, Faversham, ME13 7AG
We’re told that the information will be available online in advance from 31 May, and the final date for consultation responses will be 13 July – this is only six weeks in which to absorb and understand all the information and respond!
Please get these dates in your diary, and make a personal commitment to get involved!
Sadly Cleve Hill Solar Park don’t seem to be able to coordinate their activity very well. We got the letter in the post a couple of days ago, meaning the information has been known for some time, and yet as of 10:45 today their website is still only showing news from February with no other updates:
And their Twitter account, which only has 6 tweets, hasn’t been updated since 16 March 2018:
There is a statutory duty on the developer to consult properly. This failure to provide information as early as possible is not helpful in terms of the consultation.
Frankly, we’re appalled that we’re having to their work for them! Let us know what you think in the comments…
